On Food and Cooking for Beginners/Aspirators

I recently watched a 2011 Alton Brown interview with Google, at least that's what I think it was. I heard from him that nothing on the internet is hard set for food and cooking. Since I like food and cooking I thought I could come up with a blog that is all about food and cooking I thought of calling it Food and Cooking for Beginners now I'm thinking otherwise on the title. I simply wanted to come up with something for the aspiring people that are new to food and cooking and that's what I wanted to start off the blog about what is food and cooking defined in a more in depth way and beginning with the basics of foods and the simplest recipes.

I would like to do it but I don't know again if anyone is really reading any of thisl.

Food

One of the things that I have learned about food is patience. I have learned that the hard way after many burns of food.

Especially with meat, you got to have a lot of patience if you want really tender meat when your done. I have found marinades work good too, though at first I didn't know how long to leave it. The first time I marinaded something it was steak, it worked well just overnight. Later I heard someone say that they left pork marinade for a week I was surprised to leave something that long marinating. I haven't tried something like that but I will.
Another thing I have seen is baked steak. I have seen pan seared first then they put it in the oven for a while but well slow roast first I like to go slow first then just crank it up at last to give it a crust.

Sandwiches are good. Anything that you can put between two buns is good. I have found the basic sandwich to have ham, mayonnaise, tomato, onion, lettuce, mustard and cheese. I like to add bacon once in a while gives it a touch and it's good. I think that's all I will write for now but I'll write more later.
