Technologic Revolution

As I have been getting older I have noticed the changes in technology rapidly and I'm hoping to see the finish product in my lifetime. That being, there is a book(I'm not sure which one) that says by the year 2035 there will a computer that will have as many functions as a human brain, in theory we can download our memories and personalities into this computer and live forever as a machine.

This revolution that I write here is more of the lights that every little object on our day-to-day lives seem to have gained. From plasma TVs to a lip-gloss with a little flashlight. I have seen the buses with advertisements on the side that have moving pictures now instead of just pictures. What I tell people sometimes is "I want to live to see the lights." maybe even the blur of lights as the cars keep getting faster or maybe even flying cars but I don't want to get out of hand. I have also seen the artificial cigarettes that took me by surprise because one week I was thinking they should make just a little tube that releases vapor nicotine and the next week I see it. I have seen everything I thought come true, maybe one day the machines will revolt against the human but I think we will fuse with them rather than start a revolution.

Music too, as I have aged music has become easier to produce and manipulate without the use of instruments. I have heard many songs that remind me of the 80's, back when there use to be lit-up floors and the disco ball over head. I have come up with many songs that all I did was use a computer.

Since I live in Chicago I think one smart move the mayor did was when he announced to give internet access to the whole city. Public libraries have it, buildings downtown have them some houses in the corners have it, even right now as I write this I'm in Richard J. Daley College without a single class to take here.
